Ashford, Washington Treehouse
Behind the Design
Nestled in the forests of Washington with views toward Mount Rainier, this custom treehouse was designed to immerse guests in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest while offering the comfort and refinement of a modern retreat. Elevated among the trees and carefully positioned to capture filtered light and surrounding vistas, the structure blends natural materials with clean architectural lines to create a serene, elevated escape.
The design process was a true collaboration between Chris Gregersen and Brian Johnson, working closely to balance vision, constructability, and craftsmanship from the earliest sketches through final detailing. Chris then brought the project to life in the field, expertly constructing the tree-supported structure with precision and care, ensuring every connection, finish, and structural element reflected the integrity of the original design. Structural engineering was completed by Charley Greenwood, providing the technical backbone that allows the treehouse to perform safely and gracefully within its wooded setting.
